The Nation section is pretty good so far. I'm a History Major myself, and a few have looked interesting. But there's plenty of dark fantasy in the casual and advanced sections. [@Sickle-cell] is running one at the moment in the Dragon Age universe. 
[@Turbowraith]I'm curious on what metal bands you like. And this might be out of the blue, but you mentioning gritty, I need to ask if you are a Gears of War fan?
