Right, I can see that. That's fine. I imagine him putting the armor is "Shit is about to get real" DSSomething heavy like a powerarmor won't be moving around at normal pace, it is the kind of thing people employ with backup as to not get terribly outflanked. Magic exist sure, but it hasn't rocketed science ahead that much. Alot of things needed to be reinvented. Robotics isn't really a thing at all becouse there isn't the facilities to create anything supercomplicated. Everything is jury rigged, salvaged and utilizing magi-tech where it is beneficial. Also, I imagine the powerunit consist of a lightning crystal. Gotta be eco-friendly!


So he would be clunky. But as it makes him heavily armored, he'd be terrifying to raiders who mainly wield modified small arms. ANd tooth and claw beasties of smaller size would be little problem. Hell, he could have  kinetic crystal wired to his armor, so that it absorbs part of the bullet impact.
