Oh well yeah. 
Valence is too focused on his job and without the same focus on women as normal men.

He's honest, but he's searching for weapons, flaws, weaknesses, and things to take advantage of in his enemies- whether mentally with what he knows, or when he's got them in his sights. Unless whoever is crushing on him does something unexpected and warrants attention by him, he probably won't even know. Or if he meets them again after a long time apart.
