Lugft Huron
Lugft had arrived early to the Bride choosing this time, he was very impatient. Four brides and no heirs? Not even a girl? The more gossipy(and bold) Drakken jeered at him out of earshot, but Lugft hardly cared, he was far more angry at himself... four brides??!! How had he lost four brides before he had even one heir??!! The first one was understandable, more than a few Drakken accidentally kill their first bride, it had taught Lugft he can never get too violent with the Gem women, too delicate. His next bride had taught him a second important lesson, never only get one. Seeing as she died falling from her damn horse, having two brides meant if one died he had a second, and therefore did not need more. His third, most recent lesson was the one that was really pissing him off. They cannot be allowed to bond... at lest not like his last two had, they had committed a tandem suicide in his bed whilst he was away... he had flayed their guards of course but that had hardly even taken the edge off of his anger. He had arrived at castle Shadow-worth quie early and quite impatient. In retrospect he was not certain why he was so early, he didn't think he cared about which pretty Gem he chose... though in truth that was not correct. He had arrived early because none of his previous brides had... they were all missing a certain... something. Lugft hated not knowing what exactly he wanted, it made it harder to take. He had known what weapon he wanted, the exotic pike was with him, folded oton his back. He knew when he wanted a trophy from a powerful foe... that was it! A trophy! None of them had been... right for trophies. He wasn't sure what made a bride worthy to be a trophy but hopefully he would find it here today. As he mused on this, many of the other Drakken nobles around began to mutter catching Lugft's attention. The massive Drakken turned to see what all the commotion was about, and smiled as he saw none other than Siadamkiru striding purposefully into the hall. Unlike many of the other men in the room Lugft was hardly surprised to see her, women had taken brides before. Though he wondered if she had the stomach for it. Curious, he decided to strike up a conversation with her while they waited. Lugft was in his regular attire, that is to say a leather coat and silk shirt opened to reveal his pristeen chest along with his more military pants and boots. Why did he diplay his chest so openly? Well, he didn't talk about it, but most people were smart enough to guess. His armor was similarly open, and the fact that he had not a scar on his chest spoke of his martial prowess, it was a challenge, and a show of his strength and abilities. He came to stand next to Sia, smiling, "So, the heir of the Beneni family arrives to select her bride eh? It is good to see you Sia, been well?", simple small talk whilst they waited for the brides to begin their march. When the brides did finall arrive, Lugft paid rapt attention... he was looking for something. The first bride out was an abnormality, confident, even happy as she walked out on the stage, interesting but not what Lugft was searching for. The next two entered in an... interesting manner to say the least of it. The two seemed to have had a mishap on the stairs and tumbled down atop one another onto the stage, one of the twin Gems hissing a small quip as she stood up. A few Drakken began laughing loudly, but Lugft almost couldn't hear them... one of them, strangely enough for they were twins, caught his eye. The first up, ever so slightly taller than the other, who had laid her little quip... this was one of his trophies. As the two girls stepped into line Lugft decided to make his intentions known, possibly disuading a fight. He stepped forward, snatching up the taller one's hand, and lightly kissing it, smiling up at her, "Welcome to Darkka, my darling.", he let her hand drop away and returned to his position beside Sia... he had found one bride with that unknown quantity, now he hoped there would be another.
