Wes Downgate
"Well, time is something we have the luxury of having a lot of on the first day. No one even knows we exist, much less where we are or how to find us. So, you know... take it easy," he said, smiling at Tamamo, trying to urge her not to push herself too much. His Caster wasn't normal. He knew that already. It wasn't a surprise that she was having trouble making a Workshop. From what she'd told him and the information he could glean from his insight as a Master, he'd just have to trust she'd excel in other areas. Besides, she had the skills they needed where it counted the most. Starting the boat, Wes less than expertly nudged the yacht out into the harbor, stopping and starting so much the boat seemed to jerk and buck like a bull. "Remind... me..." he grunted. "To look... up... a guide for this... later... on... the... internet..." Finally grasping the concept of differential steering, Wes transitioned to a comfortable cruise speed and sailed the boat out to a few hundred feet away from the shore. He sighed with relief. "Okay, now I feel better. We have some time and privacy to plan and prepare away from everyone else. Let's just drop anchor here for now..." There was a clunking noise as the boat released its anchor. Waiting for the tiny "thud" so he'd know they were rooted, Wes pulled the rat out of his pocket and retreated into the cabin. Placing the rodent on the table, he went to retrieve some of his chilled animal blood and a fine paintbrush. He'd need to spend the next few hours layering this thing in magecraft, so a formalcraft circle was needed here. A few minutes passed and Wes had drawn his circle and started pouring his prana into it, activating the circle and making it glow as it bathed the rat in magical emanations. Wes sighed with relief. Now that that slightly challenging task was over, he could focus on something easy and enjoyable: setting up a wifi hotspot, configuring all his wireless devices, and attempting to hack into stray communications satellites. If he could hijack the signal strength of an obsolete satellite and piggyback off it, he could boost the signal strength and the operational range of his drones almost indefinitely. [@Lonewolf685]
