I quite like it. For the record, Nero would [i]certainly[/i] be going on this quest. Ties in with somethin I was thinking of, actually... Perhaps Nero invites them all to it? Seeing as he's a material hunter and there's money to be made. Kenshin dies, blahblahblah.

I think the amulet's buff is fine. It would likely be more of an aesthetic item and the quest would probably be one of those that only one group could do, or a few could do, before it stopped spawning for players. Much like the one where Kirito gets the crystallite for Dark Repulser. But I digress. ^^ I think it's great and seeing as the scales, claws, fangs, etc. are the bigger reward, the amulets would be just fine.
