'That book does have a use, after all...' "I suppose you could say I have a resistance to the cold." He explained briefly, putting aside the attitude. She perhaps had other plans for tonight that weren't able to happen due to her situation. It'd irritate him if he could be cold, as well. He watched her walk out, and he simply stood there, not caring to keep following her every time she moved. She probably could use a little time to calm down, as well. Matthew knew he could sometimes snap if irritated, and didn't want to end up doing so to her. So he instead went and took a seat in the cold lounge, only knowing that fact because Hayley had told him it. He stared blankly at the clock on the wall, listening to the ticks. He slowly looked down at the floor, wondering if any of this had been the right decision to start with. 'Mental diary entry #8768. The night has gone quiet for me once more, and I have a saddening feeling that nothing can truly replace it. It is apparent I can make myself visible, but because of my differences I seem to be rather irritating, due to not being able to know how living beings are feeling, considering I am no longer one. The stares I've gotten have made me feel rather repulsive, swatting away my assumptions of looking normal. At least I've learned a few things, tonight. I should keep this quick, and head upstairs. She might feel worse if I take too long... Of course, for all I know, she might feel better about it.' Standing up, Matthew made his way out of the lounge, and upstairs. As he approached, he noticed the lit fire, and Hayley eating her meal. He spoke up. "Sorry. I was checking the time, and it was hard to see in the dark." He said as an excuse, standing and starring down at the fire. He figured he appreciated having it at one point, but he couldn't recall ever actually putting it to use.
