War never changes. Since the dawn of human kind, when our ancestors first discovered the killing power of rock and bone, blood has been spilled in the name of everything: from God to justice to simple, psychotic rage. In the year 2077, after millennia of armed conflict, the destructive nature of man could sustain itself no longer. The world was plunged into an abyss of nuclear fire and radiation. But it was not, as some had predicted, the end of the world. Instead, the apocalypse was simply the prologue to another bloody chapter of human history. For man had succeeded in destroying the world - but war, war never changes. In the early days, soldiers of the military took refuge with the leaders of the world in fortified bunkers and within a oil rig in the pacific ocean where they survived just the same as the occupants of the vaults all over the united states. But unlike the residents of those vaults, these soldiers that made up the remnants of the united states military had a different plan in mind, one to reclaim the states and purge it of communism entirely. These soldiers became known as the Enclave. Two hundred years later, the year is 2302. Much of the enclave has been obliterated by the New California Republic and the Brotherhood of Steel. Entire legions of forces dispersed to attempt to survive their onslaught and rebuild. Without a true leader outside of the few high ranking officials left, the enclave retreated to the north, into Canada. Vault-tec had several vaults in the southern parts of Canada that housed hundreds of former vault residents that communicated with the cities around them, all of which being gleefully unaware of the chaos in the south. Using scavenged technology used to recruit and train their own soldiers, the populations of these vaults were recruited into the enclave as workers, scientists, and soldiers. With a new leader democratically elected by the remaining forces named Anthony Graves, hundreds of new recruits with hundreds-even thousands-more recruits ready to become one with the enclave, and a set of vaults to call home, the Enclave was primed and ready to take back the united states, in the name of freedom and justice! You are an Enclave soldier part of the "Eagle Claw" project. One aimed at creating a highly skilled force like Squad Sigma. Instead of protecting essential objectives, however, the members of Eagle Claw are a highly trained, very well equipped Kill Squad that is dispatched against not only the most dangerous of foes, but the most numerous of them as well. Eagle Claw is looking to be the most dangerous Enclave force to be deployed into the wastes. ___________________ You awaken to find yourself within a vertibird, it's destination unknown. Several others are around you, six to be in fact. A couple are unconscious like you just were, one is smoking, and the rest seem to be as confused as you are. The heavy humming of the vertibird is the only sound that you can hear, nobody was talking or asking questions. There was no pilot as it seemed that this bird was automated. It wasn't long before you felt the rumble and the sounds of the vertibird touching down and the door opening. The others had awoken by now. They looked between each other before one got up and went to the door. He signaled for the rest to follow, including you. Though reluctant, you stepped out into the world. When you planted your feet on the earth, you did not hear a thud, but a crunch. A strange substance being beneath your leather-bound feet. you did not have the chance to find out what this substance was as you were hit with a strong, wind that froze you to the bone. More of this while substance stuck to your hair and uniform. Some even got into your mouth, it burned for the slightest second, but then dissipated. You took in the landing zone but could not see much outside of dim lights in the distance as a fog carrying the white substance obscured everything. One of the other group members patted you on the chest with the back of his hand. "It's called "snow". Have you never seen it before? It's all over Vancouver, Illinois, and even the mountains of the Mojave." You asked him how much of the US had he seen as the places he listed were very far apart and you were one of the "Vault Recruits", so you had never been. He didn't answer as a man clad in Enclave colors with a dark gray cloth trench coat approached with the insignias of a commander on his collar. "Come along, Recruits. Your initiation awaits." "Recruits?!" the man speaking before spoke up yet again. "I have over two hundred successful missions! I am no recruit...SIR!" The commander approached the veteran and gave him a hay maker to the jaw. You could hear bones break as he went down into the snow, unconscious. "You are one now, Maggot. Welcome to Eagle's Point." ---- It has been two months since the battle of Idaho. It was a complete mission failure, hundreds were killed on both sides and there was no clear winner. The enclave was forced to issue a full retreat as the NCR sent in increasingly large amounts of reinforcements. They were forced to pull out "The big guns" to keep them out of Canada. But this was their worst mistake as there is now massive unrest in the NCR. Leader of the armed forces, Col. James Hsu, was infuriated at the bombing of the base, hundreds of their soldiers were wiped out. Anybody that wasn't underground or in the city was wiped out. All without any of his knowing or approval. Because of this, he had gathered the NCR rangers and left the NCR, forming the "Black Bears" and moving north to try and reason with the enclave. As for Eagle Claw, it had been a long, bloody, two months. Sent all over canada to secure positions, they had pulled from America for a long while, letting the pot come to a boil. Caesar's legion was mounting attacks on bases now, knowing of the enclave now. The New Vegas and Washington D.C. wastelands have both been quiet, defending their borders. Many operations within the Enclave itself had been cancelled before they were even realized as many in high command suspect a mole. Suspicions are rampant. The members of eagle claw however couldn't be closer, fighting against the toughest out there, they have only been getting stronger and each one of them have changed somehow, either for better or worse. _____________________________ Recruitment open Welcome, Lads, Lasses, and possibly mutated degenerates, to Fallout: Rebirth of the Enclave. This is an idea that I have had brewing for a nice long while as I played through Fallout 3 again with one of my favorite mods: Enclave Commander. A mod that allowed you to call in an elite strike force of Enclave and gave you the full power of the enclave with air support, missile barrages, and even the deadly Orbital Strike that greatly expanded the tactical battlefield. I had a thought however, what if this tactical force was given...life? One of the problems in game was that this strike squad was faceless, they had no history, no voices...No Life. Thus is where this story idea spawned. I am fervently excited to take you guys on this ride through an alternate universe of the Fallout saga that...may or may not royally screw with the Canon. There is currently a Pirate Pad available for you guys to help with communication and for us to collab as much as you want. Since as a team we'll be interacting with one another quite a bit, a place for us to be able to do that without need to wait for PMs/Convos is something of a necessity. Unless there is a huge timezone difference, where as PMs might still be just as important. http://piratepad.net/hQAexNjD93 Your CO-GM is DemonTongue Characters: Vash: Deathstroke - Reconnaissance and Long range combat specialist Vash: Whisper - Stealth and Close to mid range specialist Vash: Leinhart Roosevelt - Deathclaw and Close range combat specialist DemonTongue: Ginger - Mechanic and mid range combat specialist Pyro V: Bear - Soldier and Heavy Weapons combat specialist Lucius Cypher: Archangel - Machinist and Energy Weapons Specialist Granoxfirewind - Venom - Medic and Toxin specialist Gravityflux: Undecided NPCS Dimitri Romanov, Lead Scientist Head on over to the Eagle Point Barracks if you wish to see them in more detail.
Lone Wanderer: Raven Rock was destroyed by the Lone Wanderer, Eden was "unplugged" Instead of destroying the mobile base crawler, the Lone Wanderer instead destroyed the Citadel. The waters of Project Purity flowed and clean water was available for all, without Eden's poison. Megaton was not destroyed. The Brotherhood, including Elder Lyons, was completely purged from the DC Area except for the Outcasts. The Lone Wanderer destroyed the FEV vats of Vault 87 and organized a hunt for every super mutant after the purge of the BoS. Even Fawkes. The Republic of Dave became a sexy raider love nest. An alliance was forged with the BoS outcasts as they were presented with a deadly offer that they could not refuse and would eventually come to enjoy. The Pitt has been abandoned by the slavers and raiders that were there as after the Lone Wanderer left there, the Trogs outnumbered the raiders and wiped them out. It is a deathtrap there now. While the Wanderer did take part in the reclamation of the alien spaceship it's advanced technology disappeared into the darkness of space as it's pilot hit the warp drive button by mistake. The T-51 B and Chinese Stealth Suit technologies were reclaimed by the BoS outcasts and replicated. It heavily fortified their units and made them a formidable force against those that threatened the DC area. The citizens of Point lookout remained as they were, inbred freaks, unaffected by the Lone Wanderer's actions there. Vault 101's citizens remained in vault 101, even after the Wanderer returned. Instead of leaving, they opened the vault and began to communicate with the outside, eventually recovering and becoming a thriving town, though they remained to themselves and rarely allowed one from the outside to have citizenship. Courier: The Battle of Hoover Dam was won by Caesar's Legion, but the forces of Mr. House, controlled by the Courier, kept the Legion from taking over the Mojave. The Mojave was made safe by the Courier's Securiton MK2 Army. Caesar's Legion was unsuccessful in disabling the Hoover Dam's power source and were pushed out by the robot army. Caesar lived. NCR retreated from the Mojave, but their power spread north instead of east The Mojave was never attacked by the Tunnelers of the divide as the Securitron force was able to pinpoint their dens with their sensors before they even became a problem. Sierra Madre's cloud was cleaned out by Mr. House's technology and it became a fortress for the Courier and his allies. The BoS was truly wiped out Joshua Graham was not killed and was made into a better man. The Technologies of the Big Empty went to good use in assisting the Courier's Securitron Army and his fortification of the Mojave. Eventually bringing about Securitron MK IIIs
Rules and Regulations. There aren't that many rules that I force upon you guys other than the typical common sense ones upheld by the mods and admins of RPG. But there are a couple regulations that must be upheld.

1 to 1.5 paragraph minimum per post. Make a post as long as you want but it has to be 1-1.5 or above. If there are complications with that, such as writer's block and RL issues, we'll have a campfire and talk about that. (If somebody knows that reference I'll tweak the lore to allow ghouls into the Enclave ranks.)[/*]
Character sheets MUST be detailed. I don't want to see anybody's character sheet being small and miniscule. The soldiers of Eagle Claw battalion are the veteran's veteran, each with a detailed and difficult backstory that gives them a reason to be there. Tiny CSs that you deem as "complete" will be denied on the spot. Put some love and care into your CS![/*]
If there are any squabbles or anything, be civil. I'm usually pretty lenient for OOC chatter, it's a meeting place where we can chill and roleplay, like a plaza or something. IF however a fight breaks out over something, either take it to convo or agree to disagree. We're all buddies here, no need to be slicing out jugulars. This applies to Pirate Pad as well. [/*]
Enjoy yourself and if you have questions or suggestions for ideas, don't be afraid to speak up! Everybody's ideas matter![/*]
___ Before we move onto what you're licking your chops to see, a few things about creating your characters. Please, go nuts with your CS. I'm totally up for the crazy people with a crazy weapon (not CRAZY CRAZY OMG CRAZY) with awesome looking armor, just don't go overboard. Try to balance Crazy with Practical I'm willing to stretch the lore a little, but not enough that it won't be unbelievable. It just so happens that one of the vaults that was taken over had the Blueprints and the facilities to create not only exotic ammunition, but several pre-war weapons and armors as well. Your character is built to be the best, what better way to be the best than with weapons and armor that they are completely in love with and are completely comfortable with using? I know that in Fallout I'm not fighting my best without my favorite weapons, otherwise I'm just not having fun. I highly recommend heading on over to the http://www.nexusmods.com/games/? if you need some help with armor and weapons. I'll put a check-mark on whether the armor or weapon would work in the universe or not, and please: No sexy stuff and don't go overboard. Every unit of the Enclave has Electronic Identification Devices planted in their shoulders upon induction into the faction so even if you don't look like a soldier at all, the Enclave will know that you're a friend, so don't hesitate to have personal armors! Remember however, we are all have power armor training. If you're going to be making a former vault dweller, the vaults that the Enclave have taken are: 59, 42, 91, 86, and 105. Vaults 46, 103, and 19 are not under enclave control and have been introduced to the wasteland. They are allies of the Enclave. Perks, skills, and attributes aren't needed as your character's skills and abilities will be determined by you in their backstory. In other words: Standard formula. Try not to go insane when making your character. No "UberOP" weapons such as the Fatman or Anti-material rifle as they are simply too much. Cliche' items such as the Katana are highly discouraged as well as we would like to balance the crazy with the practical. Without further adieu, your Character Sheet Skeleton: TAKE NOTE BEFORE YOU START The characters of this roleplay may or may not be currently in a mission. Your character will NOT be introduced into the story until the end of the mission. For Eagle Squad there ARE no reinforcements mid mission. Take your time with your characters and love them dearly. Missions don't last TOO long, but they can drag on a little. Take a look at the other characters, pop into the Cafeteria, talk to the rest of us so you don't end up making a character you don't love.
