Sure!

At the top of my head, so far nobody is using an axe or hammer weapon ([url=http://bloodborne.wiki.fextralife.com/Boom+Hammer]boom hammer[/url] maybe?), daggers or spear. Nobody is using a bow. Or why not a shield? If you are planning to play a medic, a shield would make a lot of sense. I always thought shields had cool offensive applications too, in games. Shield bashing is one of them! Or... maybe something ranged? Just because Guardians favor melee weapons doesn't mean that they all use them.
