It's a good site, but a political compass is a nice little visual reference you can take a glance at real quick and get a feel for things. It's also important to keep in mind that American politics are largely, extremely right as it is, so anything close to the y-axis on a, or at least the specific political compass I used, is considered "left" by American standards. At least, so I've been told.
