Emi stayed quiet as him mom continued to call him. Glancing at Tyler, his happy and excited mood changed to a more cautious one in an instant. He glanced at her and then signaled her to follow him. As they walked down the steps carefully, Tyler finally answered his mother's calls. Seeing his mother, she looked somewhat like Tyler, the same mouth and eyes. However, she had more wrinkles than most mothers of her age, which Emi assumed they were from massive amounts of stress. Tyler walked up to his mother and hugged her from behind, which Emi thought was a sweet gesture, but when his mother turned around there were n o emotions in her face. She seemed restless with a hint of annoyance were shown in her eyes. She stared down at Tyler questioning him harshly completely ignoring the fact that Emi was right behind him. She could feel a chill go down her spine from just seeing the look his mother gave him. "It's my fault," Emi blurted out all of a sudden, "I accidentally ran into him, making him spill his coffee. I'm sorry..." she said feeling bad that Tyler was gonna get yelled at because of her. As his mother turned to her, she gulped as she gave Emi the same beady eye she gave Tyler. "I kinda regret saying that now," Emi thought to herself as she waited for his mother to reply.
