Cliche, but that's exactly what I want. If it's tacky, nobody expects anyone to actually go through with it! Also, I've seen the Martian; nobody is going to Matt Damon me, nosir.

Not huge on ARs, shot the C7 in the army, cleaning them blows monkey chunks, so I'd say go with a piston AR. I also recommend not getting anything more for a gun than you absolutely need for it; everything adds weight, and some guys go overboard and just think that just because something has rail space, something should be there.

Only aftermarket accessories I have for my rifles are a reflex sight for my Tavor, and a rubber butt pad and bipod for my SKS.
