Was he serious? For once, she actually couldn't tell. Still, in that moment, the only thing she could really focus was on all the small details. The way Jaakuna would hold her close, the rough feel of his hands, the way he smelled. All the little things that made Jaakuna himself, it was as if she was rediscovering him all over again. How could she have forgotten that hair and those tattoos? Even the way he moved when he was with her, though she would put a halt to that thought as she would think carefully about his question. Maybe it was a joke afterall, but... "Whatever you want," Emiri replied earnestly. "I'm just happy to be here with you. Like...it feels right. This, right now."
Once Nadeline would lead Wesley to her room, the maids gathered before them, awaiting their mistress' orders. Nadeline would temporarily release Wesley as she would approach them, though it seemed they had already known exactly what she had wanted. One maid would step forward, placing two bundles of clothes on a nearby table, and each maid would bow deeply before taking their leave. Once the doors had closed, signaling that they were alone, Nadeline would motion towards the loveseat, taking a seat and patting the cushion next to hers. "No need to be so nervous. I simply wanted to ask your opinion in something," She told him, placing her hands on her lap. She would stare at him rather intently, though after a moment, she would finally speak. "If Reia--if the Empress has the intention of war...I plan on staging a coup d'etat." She revealed to him, eyeing his reaction carefully. "I realize that my last attempt went nowhere, but this time, I believe I am better prepared." She gave him a small smile, though it would fade quickly. "Although...honestly, I think I would like to ask Grant to take the throne. I believe he is ready for it. What do you think?"
Grant's expression immediately fell. It would seem Savayna wasn't quite as satisfied as Wesley and Nadeline were, nor was she about to drop the subject anytime soon. He almost felt like a child getting caught taking a cookie fromt he cookie jar, and he couldn't bring himself to think up an excuse. The maid in the room immediately knew she was not to stick around, and would take her leave as soon as possible, making sure to close the door behind her. Damn, there was his only possible means of escape. Running a hand through his hair, he would stare at Savayna for a moment. He should have been happy they were alone, but it seemed he had made an error in that part. Letting out a long sigh, Grant rolled back one shoulder as he would look righ back into her blue eyes. "I honestly don't feel it's my place to tell everyone. Everything I had mentioned before was the absolute truth--there was no deception there." He informed her. "I'm sure Jaakuna will tell everyone himself soon. It was another brash decision he made...one he...one I couldn't understand." His voice seemed to drop, his expression looking a little sad. "A decision borne of desperation and love, I suppose."
