She will also frequently wear hiking boots or trainers due to her traveller status, so she doesn’t really mind what she looks like to others, although her clothes can be dirty depending on how much she may trip over or how long she has travelled on foot. (not that she does unless shes at that specific place she is at, she gets there by planes or trains or whatnot) But she does know how to dress accordingly for the weather.

Usually when she is not travelling, she will wear elegant clothes that also suit her figure, sometimes it makes her more fragile while sometimes it makes her look more tomboyish, it just depends how she mixes up her jeans and elegant tops and scarfs and what not.

Formally, it is expected for Areum to wear a long dress that will go down towards her feet, but she has been known to wear short dresses that will just cover her bottom due to how clothing can be portrayed in Korea, wearing really short shorts and skirts in Korea is acceptable, but showing your chest is quite scandalous in Korea (Source: Simon and Martina : TLDR : clothing in Korea)

This also makes Areum the center of a lot of hate, however. Because she knows well enough that some people don’t like the unwanted attention from people who are not involved with the argument.

Areum is a very intelligent person, this is also due to her obsession for travelling. She has seen many places and therefore knows a lot about the history of many things. Mainly castles and buildings, even theatres.

Another side of Areum is her humourous side. Areum can take a lot of jokes and just entertain others with jokes. It was one of the many things she does a lot when she is travelling with others. Just for the sake of banter and good company.

[b][color=ccccff]What Brings You To India:[/color][/b] Areum has travelled everywhere from the age of 16, but India was never a place she has gone to. Her parents have always forbidden her during her younger years of travelling. She has gotten more interested in India however during a geography class back in school. It just sounded so interesting and mysterious to her and she wanted to come to India to experience in it’s beauty. Deciding to stay if she wanted to also.
[b][color=ccccff]History:[/color][/b] Areum was born in the capital of South Korea. Alas it was not the best of times when she was born. She was born when South and North Korea were at each others throats and hated each other. This put a lot of pressure on Areum’s family because they also had a family in North Korea. And they cannot see each other, visit each other and they can’t even call each other to see how they were doing. The tension is that bad. This is why when Areum was growing up, she grew up to be open minded towards others and to help them. No matter their situation. This grew up to be a little trait of hers as she entered school.

But there was one thing that she also soaked in when she started school: Geography.

Geography was like a drug for Areum. Learning about the world and places that didn’t seem very interesting to others interested the young girl so much that she wanted to actually be there, and touch the relics, explore, and enjoy what the world actually had to offer. Especially with the tensions between the south and the north. It seemed like a good getaway from everything in the Korean life.

With this in mind, Areum had the motivation to major geography and everything involved with it just so she could quickly graduate and just get out. Which she actually done. Stopping in England first, she didn’t exactly know the language but she learnt quickly from a family member who seemed to be living in the London town she resided in for the first couple of years, lucky for her.

A couple of years later, she has mastered the English language and went off on her own again… First, she went to Olympus in Greece, and she fell in love. That was when she knew she picked the right choice for herself, she knew where she wanted to go to next. And her life just blossomed… going to one place to the next and making many friends along the way, including friends in Iceland, Russia, Wales, Turkey.

But there was one place she has never gone to… and it was a place her parents didn’t want her to go… 

Well two, one was obviously North Korea.

The other was India.

That is why she has packed her bags and has finally made her way to india. Hoping make a living here for a little while before going off to travel once more to a different place.

Now she was here, she will make the best of it.
