I think this is my first time doing this sorta thing, so here goes... My name? [i]Phantasie![/i] You can call me just about anything you like, though. I like nicknames c:. I have been roleplaying for a few years now. I'm also super friendly (at least online... >.>). Uh... That's it for background. Onto the RP-related stuff. [i]Some important things to note: 1. Grammar, spelling, all that jazz. Super important. I hate poorly written work; it makes my head hurt. 2. I'm pretty flexible with length, but absolutely nothing less than five lines. Less than that is often too little to work with. I usually write a couple of paragraphs. This is because a lot of my RPs tend to be interaction centered and set in mundane places, and there's only so much you can write about that sort of thing. If, however, the situation calls for it, I can write longer posts. I'm actually looking to try something like that, but more on that in a bit. 3. Frequency. A post from you once every other day is fine by me. If I'm on a roll, I can post multiple times in a day. However, real life means I might also not reply for a few days. I will inform you if this is the case. 4. Feel free to disappear without a trace. I would obviously prefer some notice, but it's fine. 5. Be nice! Feel free to play around with me OOC, I'd love that. We can discuss the plots or whatever we like. 6. No smut. Violence, gore, foul language, implied sex or explicit sexual jokes are cool, but no actual roleplaying of sex for age reasons. (I'm 17, but please don't be put off by that. I can be super mature, I promise :3) 7. Throw your ideas at me like all the time, if you have them. I love ideas. 8. All pairings are fine by me. I am also open to playing two characters at once. On the topic of multiple characters, filler characters should be brought in as needed and made full use of. They can do wonders for plot and fleshing places out. 9. I feel like this is standard, but no Mary Sues or Gary whatevers. Also, I love characters who are badass, but please don't make them stereotypically so. 10. I'm four hours ahead of New York. 11. Feedback on my writing is both welcome and encouraged :) 12. Anime/drawn characters preferred, but real photographs are alright too. I guess. 13. I love romance RPs, but romance isn't a requirement in the least! 14. Character sheets expected[/i] Time for.... [center][color=00a99d][h3] RP ideas![/h3][/color][/center] [hider= Steampunk/Cyberpunk RP] So basically, these are more world-building RP ideas. [hider= 80 Days] 1. Something inspired by the Android/iOS game 80 Days. If you haven't played it before, I suggest you do so. It's a great story telling game, and it has a fantastic twist on the Around the World in 80 Days novel by Jules Verne. It's paid, but worth the money. So please buy it. Basically, a guy and his servant go around the world in 80 days as part of a wager. [i]80 Days[/i] differs in the details of the journey. There are all sorts of steampunk airships, gyrocopters, walking cities, and the slow spread of automata, made by a very powerful group called the Artificers' Guild. They're basically nearly magical engineers and tech geniuses, in a way. Background on the RP ideas: - Mr. Fogg/Passepartout- Our characters wouldn't have to be exactly the same, but they would follow the master/valet roles. So with these characters we would be following the around the world storyline, and encountering all sorts of difficulties. I see potential for a super cute romance here, and maybe some mystery as well, having to do with the Artificers' Guild. Most importantly is the world building here. They'll be in different locations almost everyday, so that should offer the opportunity for quite a bit of description. Some of the countries they go through will be in political unrest, that sort of thing. It will be set in the late 1800s, thereabout, but doesn't need to be 100% historically accurate. I hope the RP can take little philosophical turns sometimes, with the chracters reflecting on their journey. A bit of character background- Fogg- The classic English gentleman. Recluse, withdrawn, refined, meticulous, intelligent, fairly well cultured, takes a great interest in technology, wants to win his bet. Will hopefully warm up as the RP progresses. Passepartout- A flamboyant Parisian newly entered into Fogg's service. Determined, a hopeless romantic, a proud Frenchman. He finds his new master rather odd. You could pick whichever, and we could flesh it out more together. [/hider] [hider= 80 Days 2] 2- Another 80 Days inspired one, but this one will be more focused on the Guild and will use entirely original characters. The guild is supposed to be an impartial, peaceful organization, but they've quietly and slowly been gaining power and now have the force of any large nation. This fact is, of course, unknown to most of the world, who only either love or hate their inventions. They are now planning to slowly establish an Empire. An apprentice of the guild and another non-apprentice will work together to uncover the plot and stop it... Somehow. The details for this one are a little fuzzy, but I'm open to interpretation. There will be a lot of deep thinking in this one, about all sorts of things- wrong vs right, good versus evil, power struggles. [/hider] Any more 80 Days ideas? Please tell me! [hider= Cyberpunk] Cyberpunk- This is the most vague. Typical dystopian setting. Limited earth resources, over population, over reliance on technology. More and more people are becoming essentially robots as they implant more devices, replace limbs, do all sorts of modifications. Two characters here either against the oppressive government, doing things. I don't know, but it's a setting I'd like to explore.
