Mia wasn't paying attention and she stepped in a gopher hole and twisted her ankle. "Ouch!" She balanced herself against a tree and pulled her injured foot free. Tears in her eyes, she yanked her shoe off and her ankle was already beginning to swell. Mia looked up and was startled to see Aki.
