In my humble opinion, its the same school of though but not the same power. It's just like how opening portals is different from teleportation -- one cuts holes through objects, one is manipulation the spatial plane to travel through space and / or dimensions.

To be frank if it's any issue at all Ill just change the power as it's not that big a deal to me and I'm very flexible.
