Seemingly not even caring about the fact that they were still in the company of others, Syleste hesitated only a brief moment before finally, she brought her hands up from where they had been rested at her side so that they were instead resting upon his chest, her soft pink lips parting just slightly from one another as she slowly began to slide them up his body and over his shoulders, the young girl following the line of his figure until she was able to wrap her arms tightly around the back of his neck, doing all that she could to pull him as close against her as she possibly could. Bringing her hand back to her only long enough so that she was able to push her blindfold up so that it was resting more like a headband rather than covering her eyes, she stooped her head down so that it was rested softly within the crook of his neck, her body lifting up onto the balls of her feet in an attempt to bring her even closer against him than she already had been- was it really this easy..? The fact that she had a crush on Gabe was as clear as the night sky; whether she wanted it to be or not, Elana had been right… she had just never realized that it was something that obvious to everyone else around her… let alone that there was even the possibility that he could ever like her back in the same way. Holding the hug for just a few moments longer as she felt his frame pulling away from her own, she let both of her arms relax around the back of his neck, allowing him more space to move as she tried her best to keep the both of them close to one another, a small though ever shy smile playing over her lips and a soft pink tinge lighting up her features as she gazed up in the direction that she could hear his voice coming from, her right hand slipping back from around his neck so that it was instead resting lightly upon his shoulder, her fingers curling ever so slightly to mold to the shape of his muscles. Why did he have to go..? Why couldn’t he stay here in camp with her, o-or why couldn’t Charlie take his place on this quest instead..? ”Don’t worry Syl. I’ll be back soon enough and Hawley and the rest of us will be fine. Just don’t get into any trouble while I’m gone, okay? And when I get back, I’ll play a song just for you, deal?” Just like she was worried about him and the others, it seemed as though he was just as worried about her and what kind of trouble she was going to get into without him being around… she couldn’t count the number of times he had helped her out of a sticky situation… the multiple times she had fallen down near the forest when she had been exploring on her own, or when she had tried to show that she wasn’t useless and had almost hurt herself using a sword on the training grounds… then there was that one time he had managed to catch her just before she walked right into the lake... “..I love listening to you play…” Stooping her head down ever so slightly for a brief moment so that her answer was given time to sink in, she lightly nodded it up and down as though to push the point that the deal he had suggested was something that she wanted as well- as much as she didn’t want him to leave in the first place… she knew that it wasn’t something that she could ask of him. He had a life to live; one that (unlike her own) he was able to live to the fullest… Bringing her hand back from where it was resting against his shoulder, Syleste turned her head ever so slightly to the side as she reached back to awkwardly untie the bow that kept the light blue bit of material from falling from her hair; the young daughter of Morpheus hesitating for only a few seconds before she held it up to him, her cheeks practically glowing with embarrassment as she tried to explain as best as she could. “..s-so you don’t miss home… promise me you’ll come back…”
