It was hard to say with any certainty what Jim had expected as he moved through the rift. There had been any number of television shows that dealt with moving from one plain of existence to another, most of them, had long fiery tunnels, or paths of stars. His favorites always had the body being broken down and then remade in the desired space. This wasn't anything like that. It didn't feel like anything more than when you forget there's two steps left on the ladder instead of one. "Ouch damn it." Jim mumbled as he landed a bit harder on his knees than he would've preferred. "Serves me right for not stretching." He took a few minutes to rub his legs before looking around and coming to the conclusion he wasn't in the city any more. He wasn't even in the same state any more. He doubted vary much he was on the same continent. "Oh. This isn't Kansas any more, isn't?"
