[@Willy Vereb] Well, as long as you got a coastline, you won't technically be isolated, trade and all, plus planes :) but hopefully as we got more players, the Other continent will become more populated. 

And yes, Mid-Twentieth Century and then some. 1950's mixed in with dieselpunk and little bits of sci-fi(in the form of recovered pre-cataclysm technology, whatever that may be)
