The wall of the world, the great mountain range running through the entire known world. Seperating the west from the north, its high roads untamed by all but the hardiest of travellers. The only known way of passing through this obstacle is the pass of broken ambitions. An infamous place where the stories of many a conquerer, liberator or crusader has come to an end. Never has an invasion from either side made it past this place. The bones of thousands of men, orcs, goblins and all manner of other warriors litter the mountain floor, the inhospitable and sometimes seemingly actively hostile terrain makes permanent occupation all but impossible. The only people that come here are travelers and... from this dawn. Fools and their forces. The horns of battle sound from both sides. Two forces stand at the ready. by nightfall, the winner's fate will be decided... and the carrion birds will have their feast from the losers.
Alright, some flavor text to get you into the mood. The intended scope here is about a medium-sized army numbering one, maybe two-thousand units. I will provide templates to set you on the right track.

Name: Biography: no need for their life story, a short exple-anation of their reasons for commanding their army will suffice. Appearance:Use text or a picture, or maybe both. Personal equipment and skills:A true commander will of course lead by example. Maybe they are a migthy warrior clad in platemail and riding the finest stock of mount in the land. Or maybe they're a spellcaster, wizened in ancient arcane arts that allow them to bend the very fabric of reality to their favor.

Of course, a commander cannot lead an entire army by himself, feel free to make a command squad of sorts, just don't go overboard lest the rp is bogged down by there being too many characters.

Name: Role:What role do they fill within the army? Are they the second in command? Perhaps they have expertise in some aspect of warfare that complements the skills of the commander. Appearance:

And how pointless would officers be without an army to actually lead.

Unit name: What is the unit as a whole named? Examples include formal designations such as 6th royal line infantry or 4th royal cavalry, or maybe a more informal name such as simply 'the steppe wolves'. A designation you would see in a more disorganized tribal army Unit role:What role does this unit fill in the army? Examples include line infantry, cavalry, artillery... Don't feel like these designations are a straitjacket, if you can think of something else, be my guest. Appearance:
