Background: Born to parents that didn't want him, they made sure he knew it. They didn't much care what he did as long as he stayed out of their way and didn't bring any trouble to their door. As a result, he grew up independent, and as quite the bully. At 17 years old he's a freshman in high school, (held back multiple times) and is the biggest bully in the school)

Background: Lived in the same small town his entire life. Hs mother teaches elementary school and his father works construction. Richard has had a pretty simple life overall. Calm, and normal. He's always been a huge fan of comic books though, reading in general, and when the quiet girl moved next door when they were both four years old it was rather expected that they might gravitate toward each other. She was quiet and didn't talk, ever, and he always had his nose stuck in a book. When he didn't he was loud and brash enough for the both of them.
