Thanks for the tips, I think I've got something I can work with.

[*] Create "Hordes", things that they can measure and admire. These Hordes can be anything really, from gold all the way to pebbles. As long as the dragon finds value in the object it will collect
[*] Will automatically know when something from their horde is stolen, react badly
