So we have to be Humans turned into Pokémon? Or will it be possible for there to be roles for being average Pokémon as well?

I love the Mystery Dungeon series (Though Gates to Infinity is meh at best.) And would be interested in joining. However I hate playing such a cliche role as a Human turned Pokémon, so... Yeah.
