Derek sighed as he held her in a close hug and kissed her on the lips before she spoke as he said "Because I was never sure that you fancied me and not Shadow, I was too frightened to tell you in the restaurant and then Mira collapsed and I felt compelled to help her like a true hero should".
Though when she told him, she wished she still had Shadow. Derek sighed and said "I'm sorry Luci, but I can never nor do I ever want to be Shadow again. He was a cruel heartless basterd that beat you sometimes just because you did not do things he wanted. He probably would of done some horrible things to you if he was still here"
