Given that most villages are Hain and most, if not all, of them haven't really faced an actual attack/invasion, they probably will. At least until Kyre and his council get involved.

It's not really [i]that[/i] eldritch yet is it? I mean we have Jvan's constructs, sure. But the hostile ones are few and far in between if I remember correctly (There's only like what, a dozen fibrelings?) and the rest are like the Sculptors and fairly peaceable. I can't really think of anything beyond natural predators and disease and all that other natural stuff that could bring death to the mortals.
