Illyad sighed. "I'm not abducting you, I'm trying to keep you safe. If you leave here now, they will find you, probably within minutes, meaning we'll have to go through all of this all over again." He gestured to the recliner behind her. "Please, sit. I will explain everything. Would you like anything to eat or drink? I'm not exactly a master chef, but I'm sure I could arrange something." He moved his hand in a twisting motion and the air cleared, the incense being a mild background scent, rather than an assault to the senses. "I apologise. I left it burning when I came to find you. I didn't realise how long I'd be gone." He was obviously trying to be a good host, and wanted her to be comfortable. Alex suddenly felt a shiver. He heard a familiar voice in his head. "She's safe, but she's terrified. I'll calm her down before I let you know where we are, you can take it from there." Illyad's voice rang clear through his head. He sighed and began making his way back to his apartment.
