I dunno, I think when people are actively trying to be better people, it's kind of the opposite of cynical and dark but that's just me.  Maybe I'm just being too idealistic here since, uh... ...Then again I [i]am[/i] the one who made their character's origins involve a shady clandestine government agency but hey.  Just that I seem to be more in favour of something more similar in tone to Marvel's movies than whatever crap DC are putting out with their movies this time.
