Hiei's acceptance is irrelevant, that's true. I believe Kurama would still want Hiei to realize how important Botan will become to him, and, finally seeing how strong she's working to become by staying with Kurama, he might find some new respect for the cute little reaper and eventually wish them well in a way only Hiei can. He'll be Uncle Hiei one day >.<
