[@Halvtand]Gobi wasn't her first choice on a place to stay, and it wasn't like she went straight to Gobi upon getting banished. It was more a process of elimination thing, and thus, it took awhile.

As for the techniques, he doesn't know the Kajiya techniques. The painting/engraving the seal on the weapon is what he knows. The techniques will come when he meets his father, or at least that's the plan.
