[/quote] "Without even forcing their Devil Triggers" doesn't matter because DT isn't a game changer. It's a panic button and the boost it gives is relatively minor. Its stat boost is relatively small and still won't save you if you suck. Even with the Super Dante costume, Vergil 3 will still push your shit in. Furthermore, there is little difference between abilities they have in-game and in-cutscene. The defining difference is that cutscenes allow for a rapid change of scenery, but rarely is there a huge change in combat abilities. In fact, I think an expert player can push abilities in game even further. You're also not considering that demonic power is not what makes Dante and Sparda strong. It's their humanity. They state this in literally every game at some point or another.
