This is a specific interest thread. If it intrigues you, please also check out my general searching thread to make sure that we'll be a good fit. Thank you! http://www.roleplayerguild.com/topics/3022-advanced-literate-frequent-replies-lots-of-plots/ooc I'm very interested in a pair of characters I have right now, and I'd like to do a story involving them. We can double or I can focus on one of my characters and have the other be a side. The characters are Doll, a fashion blogger, and her best friend Tai, a hockey player. Their backstory is that the girl was once kidnapped and fell in love with her captor. Her best friend rescued her and returned her home, but her captor was never found. You look for clues about the abductor and determine whether he and Doll potentially end up happily ever after, he gets brought to justice, or maybe even you introduce a male character who makes my female character fall in love with HIM. Meanwhile the girl's best friend is a male who your optional female character can develop a relationship with, or perhaps facilitate Doll and Tai finally getting together. Lots of different ways to play it. This roleplay is for the detail-oriented who find description and psychology interesting. Also as the main character is a fashionista, there will be heavy themes of clothing. xD
When Doll opened the front door, the first impression of the interior of her house (and her being the strongest feature in it) was one of light, glitter, and cozy opulence. She was holding a bottle of white wine in one hand, with a gold label and foil around the opening. The hostess was wearing a slenderizing pair of black leggings, charmingly bare feet, and most notably, a heavily sequined white T-shirt top which read, in black sequin writing: “REBEL OF THE BALL.” It hung loosely on her, exposing a glimpse of hot-pink bra strap over one shoulder. There was something of armor or chainmail to the garment. It caught all the white light around her and somehow picked up transient pinks and blues in the reflective sequins. The generous short sleeves fell almost past her biceps. Her “shattered glass” style mani and pedi looked exactly like her top, only more translucent and fractured. Her colorful hair was pulled into a ponytail in the middle of the back of her head, minimizing the garishness. A wide white satin ribbon was tied around the ponytail holder, into a bow. Her purple bangs were combed thick and full down to her eyebrows. She wore her usual makeup: black fake eyelashes, aqua eyeliner underneath, and bubblegum pink lipstick. To this she had added a sheer coating of glitter to her eyelids. Some had fallen into her eyelashes, spangling and catching light, and adding a faint dewiness to her pinked cheeks and collarbones. Her eyes looked very blue surrounded by all that white. The house smelled initially of fragrant jasmine: Doll’s fresh and liberally applied perfume. It also smelled like laundry that could have been washed a little sooner, and curiously, of clean cedar shavings. The aroma of finished-brewing coffee was fading, and the smells of cooking pizza were just beginning to come to life, growing gradually stronger. Doll stepped back, holding the door open wider. "Please, come on in." On the walls inside the house were pictures of her best friend Tai, warm and candid, even when they were posey or black and white. He had a gorgeous body of big, round muscles that looked somehow soft, in an appealing, manly way. He always looked too honest to put on airs of sensuality or high fashion. It was apparent that Doll had finagled him into modeling idealized male fashions for her from time to time, walking down streets in three piece suits comprised dizzyingly of too many components: fedoras, candy-colored suede loafers, visible patterned socks, pocket squares. Always looking beautiful but, to the Tai-trained eye, uncomfortable and long-suffering.
