If they did go to Spirit World, they would probably be left alone but Demon World is another story IMO. I wish Botan had parents she could introduce Kurama to. :/ The closest she has is Genkai and Koenma and Jorge. And she can't pretend they don't know the god of all things amazing and pretty, Kurama.
