His heart began to race from her delighted expression, and then slowed to a crawl when she began to explain mechanics that he felt took 40 minutes. He did his best to listen, but attending lectures in school was never his strong suit. Ever. 
She asked him if he had any questions. He thought about it for a moment. "[color=ed1c24]Well...we will cross that bridge when we come to it[/color]." he said. Meaning that if she told him to do something in the future and he didn't know what it meant, he'd ask at that time.
