Personality: A melancholic young woman who expected more out of life than she got. Having found it difficult to find anyone normal who would want to spend extended periods of time with her, she throws herself into the supernatural and spends most of her time expending or trying to commune with the Youkai bound to her treasure. When she rises from her depressed stupors she over-compensates with an overwhelming exuberance that is equally off putting, leaving her right back where she started.

Bio: Miranda was always the kind of person who pined for an escape into the supernatural and fantastic, even before she knew it existed. When she did stumble across the Crimson Sky, Miranda had hoped her entire life would change for the better. Unfortunately things would not be so drastic or saccharine. Comfort was found among the mystery and intrigue of a Chaser's life, but she still couldn't mesh with all the other super powered, Youkai slaughtering, gun toting Chasers. 

Youkai, however, never lost their charm for her. With their own diversity and mercurial nature the feeling wasn't always mutual, but she put her best foot forward when dealing with matters of the Crimson Sky. Outside of her night job she bounces from job to job, failing to hold anything down for long. This has contributed to her being a heavy drinker, not that anyone notices since Chasers often hang around bars and cafe's. 

Miranda has been drawn to the Maelstrom of Strife in order to find work and meet interesting Youkai to add to her Book of Companions.

A Youkai of substantial physical ability that hungers for the Spiritual Power of Youkai and human alike. While its desire is endless, it is intelligent enough to not go on a rampage and bring down the wrath of the Chasers. It is believed that it allowed itself to be sealed within the Book of Companions in order feed off the Spiritual Power of Youkai targeted by the Hunter’s Association, but since he has been bound to the book since before Miranda came into possession of it this is merely supposition. While perfectly capable of verbal communication, has yet to find reason to do so.

[i] Youkai Summon: Jeffers the Carbuncle [/i]: More a pet than a weapon. Can perform minor wind magic through spitting balls of compressed air like the Youkai equivalent of a bean bag fired from a shotgun, but prefers sleeping on Miranda’s shoulder. 

Skills: 
-Can seemingly live without a steady source of income.
-A depressing drunk, but exceptional tipper.
-Through her Treasure she is able to capture Youkai alive. Makes payment for bounties a bit difficult, but she likes to think at least Spirit Junction appreciates the effort not to kill everything.

Equipment: [i] Book of Companions [/i] : A Treasure in the form of a leather bound tome. Capable of storing and sealing Youkai inside of the tome on individual pages as well as releasing them. Youkai kept inside will not suffer the loss of Spiritual Power as they would outside of the Crimson Sky, and are capable to perceive their environment around them. It's possible to communicate so long as their page is open. The Book of Companions doesn’t give the owner control of sealed Youkai beyond being able to release or seal Youkai. There are only two residents of the book that would actually aid the user at the moment, having been dubbed Jeffers the Carbuncle and Null, do so for their own reasons.
