"Gah!" Happiness at his success had rapidly faded away as the dragon came around and grabbed him instead, it's grip firm and unmovable. The following pain was, well, a lot, as he was slammed through the deck and left hanging on the abyss, the ground far below and his upper torso simply in the air, like he could fall at any time. "Oh hell, I am not going out this way," he grunted after he had recovered, needing to get his breath back first. He had not come all this way to simply be killed by a dragon or whatever, and a quick flick of his wrist brought a solid platform of air into existence beneath him, to support his body and keep him from simply falling to his death. Well, that was one issue dealt with. As the dragon was distracted by the attack from above Alex went to work to deal with the rest of his situation, struggling and writhing to try and slip out of the literally iron grip he was held in. He shot off another blast of air, aimed at thee wrist of the dragon thing, to try and loosen its grip or simply throw it off balance. A quick dodged the beak if it even came near him, and for now he focused on recovery, before he had to get to the issue of the airship plunging out of the sky. He had to have some priorities, and those had precedence.
