Nothing stopping you from not using them. Longbows were more accurate, had much greater range and could be fired a lot faster, in any case. Guns didn't replace traditional bows in England until its stock of yew, the wood used for longbows diminished. I fail to see how gamebreaking guns could be, if real-world study is taken into account.
