Eeeeeeh, not really.  Galbatorix was [i]ludicrously[/i] OP.  Like, actual omnipotent god-tier.  With the "name of the ancient language" he could literally stop everyone from doing [i]anything[/i] with a word.  Magic just plain didn't work if he didn't want it to.  I kind of think we should just quietly retcon that out.  Make him uber powerful on a more normal level.
