Jakar, who had drifted back over to bar after the strange treatment from the elves, was silently musing when he noticed both Galawayn, Sionnie, and Jethro had rejoined him. Shaking his head as if to clear his thoughts, he apologised to Jethro. "Aye. Forgive me, I was distracted with some business. Let my friend here have all he wants!" he called to the bartender, as the man prepared Jethro's mead. Turning, he quickly explained his scheme and all that had transpired to his companions, including the odd behaviour of the elves. "Not that it's unlike them to be aloof," he said, "but they almost seemed unnerved. I reckon it's something other than ordinary highwaymen on those roads, if there be anything at all." He fell into pensive silence for a moment before continuing. "If the mayor is indeed willing to meet with travellers such as ourselves, we ought to visit him. Whether or not he knows what's troubling the merchants, it's likely he'll know the best ways of establishing ourselves in this city."
