There's precious little on the builders, or at least what is known, and on the seven fallen empires of the Eastern Woes, not even a good sense for how long ago that was. While the concept itself still interests me, I'm not sure I'm a good fit for lore the way it has been presented, nor for a game with multiple pieces in different places. I'm wondering what caused the decline of the world in general, since it certainly appears to have done so. And my question about Manifests was more...hm. Can they cast any spell related to their element (at least potentially), or only the ones that an artifact in their possession is capable of casting? So is it them casting the spell and the artifact just negating the cost, or the artifact casting the spell and the manifest needing it in order to do so.
The actual fall of the Eastern woes was a long period, spanning 180 years. The builders didn't associate with the outside world a lot, their cities were always meant for themselves and they keep it that way in death. The only actual "builders" others meet were the road villages, so when they disappeared as far as the rest of the world was concerned. The builders had just evaporated. Those who try to get to their cities never arrive to them. The disappearance of the road villagers was a 30 progression. The seven powers are dead, mostly. Their identity was erased with the forming of the Da Lou Dae. As far as any of this or the last 3 generations are concerned, that's who they all are. They're too proud too admit defeat, so they are the Da Lou Dae even if its ruin. For the most part all the rules for mages apply to Manifest, except they are bound by: own element. A risk of death each spell. They can always cast level 1 spells even when they used up all their spells. Never runs out. Elemental artifacts are basically just spell boxes or spell scrolls but never run out. They are self powering and singular but only activate to a manifest of its element touch. I sort of wanted to be vague about the lands for the most part. No one really knows a lot about them and there is no easy way for information to get about besides going there first hand but I understand what you mean.
