Inge eyed the letter over, the messenger who delivered it now walking away. She ran a hand through her black hair as she read it over, and a smile crossed her lips as her eyes ran over the part explaining her acceptance. Once she learned of the location of the school she crumpled the paper into a ball and shoved it in her jacket pocket. "Fáfnir!" Inge called out to her pet lindworm, beckoning him to her. "We need to go boy, time for school." Fáfnir crawled out from a hole burrowed I the ground, coiling around Inge's feet. He slowly wrapped himself around her upwards, until his legs rested on her shoulders. The clothes she wore opened over her shoulder blades, and the skin revealed began bulging. A slight creaking noise came from her bones as two shot out of her flesh. Muscle formed around the new bone, a joint forming at the tip and sprouting a second long bone. As the new limbs filled out it was obvious Inge was growing wings, which began covering themselves with black feathers to match her hair. Flexing the new part of her body to warm up the muscles, Inge grinned. A few quick flaps and she was off the ground, lifting herself and Fáfnir into the sky. Once she had elevated far enough, she began flying more horizontally toward her destination, speeding off until she was a spec in the distance.
