True, and I don't disagree. 

However, some people do like to work and include the mechanics of other people's things. Some people find it easier if someone already established a base for them to work with and on with. It's a bit hard to do that unless you share or have information publicly displayed. Werewolves and Kitsune, for example, I divided into species so if someone doesn't like the type I made, they can make their own breed and still be classed as a werewolf. They don't even have to have appearance or anything really and still be a werewolf. So I did make it possible for variety without restrictions. :P
