The cloaked figure sitting at the tables was no longer there when Meira reached the table. She looked around on the table to notice a series of books that had been opened and it looked like someone was taking notes. A notepad still was on the table so she knew someone had been in the room. She had no idea where the person went, because by the time she got to the table they had disappeared. After the person was gone she scouted the area to make sure no one else was around. Her curiosity was pulled toward what the person was looking for. Her first thought was to look down on the notepad to see what was written down. Something had been recorded on the notepad. When she thoroughly examined the contents she couldn't make any of the words out of it. It had been fashioned in the way of a poem, but the characters on the pad she couldn't understand at all. In some ancient language the poem said as follows: Through the darkness I uncovered the greatest power. A form of energy that is reigns eternal without bounds. The energy without restraint knows no limits. Causing light and darkness to collide, unveiling the secrets. When light shatters it becomes the sparkle known as the stars. When darkness is devoured its reign is limited to the openness of the Universe Though unrestricted, it still can’t be tamed by mortal humans. It devours their sanity and consumes their soul. They succumb a deadly illness that turns all obsidian. Untreated, death will soon come after. Within the females of Exrius I leave the answers. That can only be revealed by those who understand the darkness. Only then by giving yourself to both, you will find the answer you seek. This new modernization I call the future. Giving it the name of Elan, a source that enriches the soul. Empowering those who comprehend the teachings. Of the many enigmas left behind by myself. The enigmas that are in the form of crystals. Powerful crystals that have the capability. When undivided power is uncontested. When not uncontested they are in fragments like dreams shattered. The shattered two are the missing pieces of the links missing. The missing links divided into petals blown into the wind like a withering flower. The keys of the withering flowers still lie close-by hidden from sight. When the book shines it shows the light. When all combined, the ultimate secret will be unveiled. A secret so powerful that it even challenges and brings those who call themselves immortal to their knees. Of granting self-independence from those who govern us. From the dark rift that we cannot see. Which will bring a new realm to be. Meira examined the poem several times over trying to decipher bits and pieces of it. She noticed someone had been taking notes earlier translating some of the pieces of the poem. When she read the translated sections she saw the name 'Alkmaar Raruva'ixan'. This name rang no bell inside her head. She tried to retrospect deep into her past trying to find someone sort of connection, but her mind just drew blanks. It was obvious that she didn't know who this person was. She also noticed phrases that seemed familiar since she was paying attention in her history class during the time she attended the academy. 'Gods of Fate' stood out to her like a lit candle. It easily drew the knowledge she recalled from it like moths drawn toward an open lit flame. A few other phrases she saw on the paper that aroused her attention. The first being the words Skalliu Rysta. The way it was written was like it was some sort of name. Then she noticed that these letters spelled her grandfather's last name when unscrambled 'Rystaliuskal". Those very words hit her like a brick wall. She was completely drawn into mesmerization once she came across that name. What did this "Skalliu Rysta" have to do with the Rystaliuskal family? Her breath was taken away from her when she noticed 'Valther Priama' was written right below it. Meira almost collapsed when she saw that name. She did not forget the first time she heard that name. Fear overtook for a moment when she thought about that name. She wondered as she broke herself of the fearful feeling if this was the same 'Valther Priama' who performed some kind of strange experiment on her in the past. She didn't remember much since she was still not in her teens, but she remembered that she had undergone some kind of experiment. She just didn't remember what. She didn't really remember much about the memory other than she swore she was kidnapped on the day, but she couldn't prove it. The person who abducted her returned her before Erialyss woke up denying Meira truth toward her accusations. Coming to full realization she was dawdling she shook off her earlier thoughts and then returned her sword into its sheathe. She continued to read over the notes that had been written and the next notes that caught her were the words "females of Exrius" etched in large letters. Off to the side of that she saw two words that even made her more curious. The first was Magnum Opus and the second was Enuma Elish. Those names she had recalled before from Sindel legend. They were the name of the two powerful Elan crystals created by the race. The race disappeared so abruptly where both crystals went missing. Most believe that the Sindel race is just a myth, but ruins on Gaea and other planets suggest otherwise. Meira also agrees that they weren't myth. She recognizes the characters used in the language, but she cannot translate them into words she can understand. She tried to focus her attention on the notepad as she spoke to herself, "Some of these words and phrases I understand quite well, but why would someone etched all these into this notepad? I have no idea what this could mean?" She questioned as she continue to examine the notes on the pad. After she gathered all the information she needed she backed away from the table then noticed that a book was reacting toward her body. Some strange mark on her body began to glow faintly as she walked past the book. This caught her attention where she once again approached the table. Her eyes enlarged when she saw a book titled Magnum Opus laying out. She read the character contents on the title and somehow could understand them. She said toward herself whispering lightly, "Tome of Magnum Opus. The ultimate power of destruction." Meira felt a warm sensation in her body which caused her body to start to feel like it was burning. She struggled to stay conscious as all kinds of glyphs and marks appeared on her body. Falling to her knees as she agonized in pain she painstakingly said, "Urgh... dammit, my body feels like a volcano... Dammit... What is this?" She questioned as she tried to keep herself awake. She was having a hard time keeping herself conscious as her body now wanted to fall into a deep sleep. She didn't understand why her body felt that way, but when she peered down at the glyphs she flipped out, "WHAT THE!!!" Meira said completely driven into a confused shock. She didn't understand what was going on or why her body was glowing like a roman candle. She did notice that the glyphs had Psyaphonics on them, but she didn't understand any of the text that was inscribed on them. She could feel a powerful force residing in her body that just wanted to be released. She stood up stepping away from the table as she saw it was starting to destroy anything around her. "What are you? Why do I feel... this way..." She struggled to get her words out as she fell to her knees once again with her hands planted on the ground panting as a fever took over her body. The power let off an aura so powerful that it could easily be felt outside the room by anyone around. Those who felt the aura could feel the raw destructive power it wanted to release. While trying to keep herself from falling under its spell as she heard a voice recite into her mind which she told to shut up and get out of her head, she attempted to crawl toward a table with a sedative which would help get it under control. She remembered what caused it to pinnacle out of control. It was that tome she approached earlier and said the name of. Not five seconds after she examined it and said the name of the title is when she felt a powerful force overtake her body. "Must..." Meira said panting even harder trying to endure the ordeal of the power. "reach that sedative... Never... had this... happen before..." She heard someone recited in her mind as she continued to tell it to shut up. The language they were using she couldn't understand at all. The voice said toward her, "Power beyond mere comprehension. The limitless darkness that devours everything. The endless abyss of eternal despair that veils all that is lost in servitude. Embrace the darkness and light inside your heart. Release that power as a combination of salvation and destruction. Reverse the futility of the the current master plan. Rewrite the laws of existence. I am Magnum Opus. I am the Limitless Void of Nothingness. I am Eternal Darkness. I am the fabrication of everything. I am everything. Exrius female descendant, release the seal and my limitless bounds and embrace that with every part of your body including your soul." It said in ancient text where Meira screamed on top of her longs for the voice to shut up. She was tired of hearing it and didn't even understand what it was saying which annoyed her even more. She finally stopped yelling as she fell under a trance with her eyes looking like they were in a hypnosis. The first words that came out of her mouth were in the form of an incantation, "Through the darkness I uncovered the greatest power." She paused hesitant as she tried to resist the trance of the power by using her mind. Her eyes continued to look like they were under the trance, but her actions showed that she was resisting it. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Azmaldus accepted Nathan's offer and walked into his house. He looked at Nathan looking around at his house. He was a bit surprised to find out Nathan was living in such a house. The house he lived in contained no luxury. This came to no surprise due to the fact Nathan came from a poor family. He looked at Nathan examining him closely and said toward him something odd that would probably startle him, "You look a lot like him." He laughed as he asked after that if there was a place they could sit down and talk. He remembered Nathan's father well since they were friends in the past. The only part he didn't understand is the fame his father acquired for himself he never used for his personal means. Then again, his father never liked living in luxury saying that he preferred to stay simple and live a normal life without being cast into the midst of nobility. The last time Azmaldus laid eyes on Nathan is when he was still a very young child. He remember Nozdormu showing him Ysolde's child who had married to give birth to Nathan. He remembered the first time Nozdormu met Ysolde, it was back when he was still the emperor of the Valdarian Empire. His father was a mercenary for hire back then and Ysolde was a priestess who worked for the main church body inside Valdaria. He never thought someone like his father and a holy saint like his mother would ever be wed. Though Nathan did bear his father's resemblance well, his eyes were those of his mother. He owed his father a debt for saving his life when he vowed to stay behind and defend the empire with his life after it had collapsed due to a frantic explosion in the church. Luckily Ysolde wasn't in the church during the explosion or she would have been killed. He does remember that his foolhardy daughters Valeria and Melianth were experimenting with resurrection trying to bring their dead brother back to life and it backfired obliterating the entire capital of Valdaria. The explosion killed a lot of people and left Valdaria vulnerable and easy to invade for Cimmmeria. He was going to stay behind to provide as a shield for the escape of his two daughters, but Nozdormu and Ysolde aided the emperor in his escape. He tried to go back for Finathia who hadn't escaped the castle, but it had collapsed upon itself and Nozdormu stood in the way of Azmaldus telling it was too late. Though he was angered during the time he did save his life, he was now grateful toward Nathan's father for allowing him to live a little bit longer. "Is there someplace we can sit down and talk, Nathan?" Azmaldus questioned as he awaited for Nathan to escort him to a more secure room where he would tell him what he needed to know. He wasn't entirely sure how Nathan would take what he was about to tell him, but he did make a promise that he intended to keep.
