So, I spent a lot of time last night reading through the IC, I finished it and I quite enjoyed it! Lots of action and you had an absolutely wonderful crowd of characters, I actually laughed quite hard a few times. I also got a fairly good hold on the recent history, at least when it came to North America (lots of war), Europe (the west is united under the authoritarian Western European Coalition and the east and central Europe is quite divided, as detailed in [@Skepic]'s CS) and a bit of Asia (Japan is back to the Sengoku Jidai and China shoots anyone who comes into their airspace). So, now, I think we need to figure out, [@Dynamo Frokane] how the Red Baroness comes into all of this, why and how. Plus, if she's going to be the leader of the squadron, she needs to have quite the history, because she'll be quite young and that'll definitely be held against her. Perhaps she sent a call out to any mercenaries who'd join her? That's a bit like Albion's Avengers, so we might think of something else.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! You can see now why I was in no hurry to reboot this RP when the world is so rich and ripe for more stories! And yes you are spot on with all of the countries and their attitudes. Yes Hilda (baroness) is extremely young but shes something of a freak prodigy, from her 16th birthday until now she has already become a nightmarish legend of the skies, everyone knows her name and almost everyone fears her. Her motivation is to find out why her father was killed, but because shes gone a little nuts and has convinced herself she is the Red Baron re-incarnated she also wants to prove herself the best Ace Pilot in the world which also means viciously targeting other skilled aces across the globe. She's a damaged and complex character essentially an Anti-Villian. Yes I do agree that the call out is very similar way to bring the players into the fold, maybe a supporting character could suggest the idea to her, or maybe (in the opneing post) she individually visits certain pilots she has heard about and for some reason or another they join her. Where Roland was essentially a good guy with good intentions for the world, his team was united under a contract that served a greater good. Hilda contrasts that by being a selfish violent ego-maniac and she offers those who join her (lots of) money and the fame of being able to fly with the Legendary Red Baroness. EDIT: basically while Roland and The Sky Warriors were essentially good guys, The Blood Wings (hilda's crew) are a lot more morally bankrupt and dangerous.
