Name
Andri Hymir
Appearance
Andri is clearly devoid of the impressive muscles that someone considered being a true warrior would posess, but he wouldn't lack the overview over a battlefield. Having suffered from giantism during his childhood, he stands at a proportionate, but striking seven foot three inches. He maintains a beard of medium length and exhibits an estimating, cunning expression with his gray eyes. The deep scar on his right side that apparently almost cost him half of his eyesight is not a result of fighting, but of an accident he had two years ago while climbing.
Age
25
Personality
He is curious and intelligent, but it can be difficult to get him to the point where he starts to talk openly about himself. His former life has made him used to keeping his own demands low and his discipline in terms of spending his assets high.
Short history
Andri originally not had anything to do with witches, hunters and other phenomenons outside of ordinary human existence. Aside from his physical condition that manifested itself early onwards, he was an average peasant's son who was bound to inherit his parent's land property. Things radically changed however when a witch decided that a big farmhouse would be a good hideout. They didn't notice it until the reason for her to seek for a hideout in the first place had caught up. The resulting fight between the two factions made him and his parents flee. When they came back, not only the farm required some serious rebuilding, but their emotional well-being as well. At this point Andri decided that he didn't want to be a peasant for all of his life. Instead, he became eager to investigate into the things that had caused this event. His parents were stubborn and although they didn't explicitly forbid him to go, they declared that they would not offer him any support. So he left them and his brother behind and walked away, alone. He was at an age of 19 then. He picked up work as a tailor's assistant in one of the major cities in order to make a living and spent several months with reading books, asking around and picking up pretty much every bit of information he could acquire on the topic. Most sources told him that witches were basically a root of evil, but he wasn't totally convinced since he remembered well that the situation had escalated only when the hunters had shown up on the scene. Nevertheless he decided to become a hunter - for the sake of killing those that really deserve it and probably let go of those who aren't bad. Knowing that his chances to become an apprentice right away were slim, he joined the 'conventional' forces in order to pick up some training. He was being passed on from one brigade to another for quite some time without much success as it became obvious that his enormous size is rather a disadvantage when it comes to pure strength and speed. Then they tried it with sneaking and attacking from behind: It turned out that he was well above average at analyzing situations, knowing where to put his weight on and getting brutal things done the silent way. After multiple years of training and regular service without actually seeing any deployment, he quit at an age of 24. Due to his former research, he knew how to possibly make contact. It didn't go smoothly as his methods are somewhat different to what is commonly seen and it is true that they have some severe disadvantages in certain situations whilst they have advantages in other ones. However a less known hunter called Tar Shin finally accepted him as an apprentice. They travelled to Seren's Folley very recently, attracted by what was going on in the area. Andri can still be considered a novice, especially in this new environment. He had plans to visit his parents, but he was and is just too busy to carry them out.
Type of woman
Calm, modest and open-minded. She wouldn't need to bring in a significant amount of wealth as he is being used to live in rather poor circumstances anyway. On the other hand she should not have a problem with him being an assassin.
Weapon of choice
He prefers using a garrote. It isn't as adequate for mass-destruction as a really big sword is, but this kind of weapon doesn't spoil his hiddenness as it doesn't spill a lot of blood and its victims usually aren't able to scream loudly anymore. He has multiple strings for it to choose from: silver-plated steel, gold-plated steel and a steel polyeder with sharp edges that can be slid on the wire. It makes crushing one's throat easier, especially when covered by some kind of flexible armor.
Pet/familiar
He has a serpent that he domesticated when it came across his bunk during his time in the military. It's at the point where he can let the snake meander around his neck and more or less partially hide below his clothes or leather armor, so he can take 'Sin' - so he named his pet - with him if he really wants to.

Name
Khan
Description
Khan is a demon with the physical appearance of a worm. He is a parasitic creature that, though certainly being able to survive and live on on its own, prefers to infest human beings in order to thrive. His current host is Andri Hymir, who has 'acquired' him on his very first real huting endeavour. He has no idea what Khan really looks like because it happend within the pitch black interior of a coffin, with some assistance from Charon to actually get Andri in there. Now, he is embedded in his host's brain, somewhat safe from direct physical access unless you're willing to completely discount the fact that you have to damage Andri's brain to get to him.
Personality
Khan has his own definition of pleasure - one that he is in constant and total disagreement with his host. For Khan, the pursuit of happiness equals the pursuit of pretty women. He doesn't really care about if it's an embarassement for his host or if it will entail real social trouble. However he is not immune to being threatened himself and doing so did serve as a means to get some sort of control over him in the past. Normally, he's the one to threaten Andri so his host does what he wants him to do.
Abilities
Despite being in direct contact with his host's brain, he can't directly issue any sort of command to his body. However he can induce pain, mainly by being enraged or screaming. He can hear and see what his host hears and sees and they can communicate with each other mentally. Khan's primary source of surprisement he can throw at his environment however is teleportation. There is no theoretical range limit on it, but he can only select destinations he and Andri either have visited beforehand or have a direct line of sight to. He can teleport Andri against his will, but he can't do so with others. Affecting anyone else requires for the other persons both to be in direct physical contact with his host and to agree to being teleported. As inanimate matter has no own will, there is no such restraint to that, but again, there is no teleporting from a remote location. Khan requires his host to be able to move the object to be taken with him using his physical abilities only. Khan does not compensate for the relative velocity when teleportation takes place, so if his host goes into poofing while running or falling he comes out of it running or falling. Khan requires at least a minute until he can put up the effort of creating a teleportation phenomenon again.
History
Andri hardly knows anything about Khan's history yet. Up to the current point of time, He hasn't told Andri if he is actually his first host or not or if he is the only being of his kind or not.

Name
Dumitru Czar
Appearance
Source: Tsimmers @ DeviantArt Dumitru is prone to making a humble first impression. He is only 5'4 and though his body features some muscle, it also features a slight, but noticeable gut. Hair's long, black and untidy and the dominating thing about his face are not his pointy nose or his goatee, but his glare. Many people have the impression that there's something behind it that is pretty close to incomprehensibility. His skin indicates that he isn't exactly on good terms with the sun. During battle, he tends to protect himself in some kind of flamboyant combination of leather and metal. The former is only very well-kept, the latter one appears to be of either an unknown source or of an unknown alloy.
Age
29
Personality
"When he tells you that something could possibly go wrong, you're already far beyond the point you should have started worrying." In general, he is rather friendly, but a bit shy and wanting to keep his secrets. It is easy to tease him with his appearance which he is aware of, but he is also aware of his intelligence. Though he does posess a considerable fortune, he is far from boasting. Paying his room a visit would reveal that there are more creepy parts more or less hidden in his thinking. He fully embraces the unconventional approach.
Short history
Dumitru was born in a small village on the outskirts of Transylvania, Romania. His parents were, and still are, local landlords with a considerable amount of funding at their disposal. They used a smaller part of it to allow for their single child to receive a superior standard of education once they noticed what a beautiful - and wicked - mind he posessed. It was not that unusual to slay small animals like chicken to find out their inner workings per se, but it was highly unusual for a 7 year old child to do that. Târgoviște was one of the very major cities in the area at the time and also the residence of the royal household. Dumitru was sent to a monastery in order to 'improve' - a term that likely was invented as a replacement for the more honest, but also more desperately sounding word 'stabilize' - his reasoning while teaching him. They weren't entirely successful. While his passion for crossing some certain limits faded, he seemed to have invented just a replacement one: There was an 'incident', triggered by Dumitru's greed for experiments confirming or falsifying his theories and him gaining access to the monastery's ample supplies of alchemical ingredients, including some of the more rare ones. This would not have happened if Dumitru had not forced his research just into this direction, but the stability margin had turned out to be a lot smaller than initially estimated. Normally a bunch of severely injured persons, including himself in particular, would have been a really good reason for massive consequences not only affecting him, but also his family. However his actions had started to attract the attention of the emperor's advisors long before, and Mircea I. of Wallachia himself was eager to learn what an interesting new type of explosive Dumitru had invented - there was a war against the Ottoman Empire that had to be won. While it is true that Dumitru did implement some improvements to his majesty's cannons, he made it a condition that this wasn't made public. After the Battle of Rovine, Mircea was superseded by Vlad I. and having lost both his former employer and his will to continue his work for the usurper, he returned home. Now at an age of only 24, he no longer had to live off his parent's fortunes. Not only Dumitru had earned money, but also a lot of additional knowledge. During his time in the monastery, the man had already made contact with the realm of witches and the possibilites it could provide. He became eager to exploit them and since he could not become a witch himself - being only a genius - he opted for hunting them and their demons. That is what he still does today: Making observations, collecting the knowledge of magicians and samples to feed into his apparatus. There is no personal or familial fate any of them made him suffer from, nor is there personal anger, just the fate of being greedy enough to cross the line. However he pretends to be a 'true' hunter towards strangers.
Signature weapon
He utilizes a large, slow-to-reload, but very advanced looking muzzle-loaded gun to dispense both bullets and miniaturized grenades that are intended to hit the primary target with precision instead of area (though caution is still advisable for bystanders in most cases). For both he has a variety of choices available for different situations, ranging from primitive but cheap lead bullets up to extremely hazardous acid that can eat through steel and otherworldly materials alike, leaving his future samples and guinea pigs much more vulnerable to more conventional ammunition.
Things he looks for in a partner
Basically: nothing. He has no interest, at least none that he is aware of. This does not exclude the possibility that it's just dormant and could surface at a later time or given a charming approach.
Pet/familiar
None
