"H-Hey, you… You forget what you saw! You… need to go! Right now!" the other woman commanded, lovely eyes narrowed under long, dark eyelashes. This only caused Calliope to blink up at her in confusion as the ringing in her ears started to die down. Was she embarrassed that she was chasing pigeons? Was that weird behavior? Maybe the taller woman was just worried that she hadn’t done a good job scaring the birds away? “N-no, it’s fine,” Calliope reassured, her heart rate slowing as she caught her breath. “You, um, did a very good job, ma’am. Your form was lovely, they seemed quite terrified of you.” This seemed to soften the other woman somewhat, because after a moment she asked, "Are… Are you all right?" The question was marked with a soft lilt that made Calliope lean closer to better understand her. ’Oh, right, I just made a scene, didn't I?’ the blue eyed woman realized, mortified at her actions. “Yes ma’am, I--” "Excuse me lass, but are ya okay?" interrupted a concerned voice, causing Calliope to look over and see her running mate from earlier jog back to check on her well being. The vet student felt her face grow hot and she straightened up quickly. “No, I-I--,” "Has something happened here? ...do you need assistance, miss...?" A white haired man with brown puppy dog eyes made his way over to the group and now she was starting to get truly anxious. This was the exact opposite of blending in, she stuck out like a sore thumb. “U-m...,” she started, overwhelmed by the exorbitant amount of attention. ”Take a deep breath, miss,” Calliope heard someone say and her gaze quickly flitted over to the large tan and black dog at the white haired man’s side. He was panting from the walk, but other than that his muzzle remained motionless. ”There is no need to panic, no one here will harm you,” the dog continued, his head cocking to the side as he continued to watch her. ”Just calm down and try again.” “Sorry,” Calliope said after a moment, standing up straight and grabbing the hem of her shirt to mop the sweat from her brow. “I just rolled my ankle,” she fibbed, chewing at her bottom lip before adding. “No big deal or anything. I just got...distracted. Yep. Distracted.” [@MyCatGinger][@Jay Kalton][@Saarebas]
