[@Demonic Angel] weapons have to have a miester to be active. They might be able turn into their weapons but they cant attack on their own. An animal would be able to attack on it's onw. It would be more independent then the rest of the weapons.

Once a weapon and Miester are paired they are paired for life as far as I know. Some weapons can be weld by more then one meister but that is rare and some miesters can weld multiple weapons but again that is rare.
