Name:Adachi Yorimasa Clan: Adachi Age:23 Gender:Male Nationality:Japanese Family: He has no known blood relatives as he was given to the temple as a newborn. Relationship:None. As a Warrior Monk, he is not allowed any sort of relationships outside of friendly relations. Anything further is considered a disgrace to his practice. Classification: Warrior Monk. Weapon(s):Naginata, a japanese wooden spear, and a nodachi, an extremely long katana. Personality: Calm in even the most tense moments, it’s rare to see him actually show much emotion at any moment. His monk upbringing however, causes him to be extremely polite to others. His sheltered life has made him dense to many things, and humor is likely to go over his head. Being a monk, he also likes to quote ancient proverbs and give advice. However, most of his advice is based on philosophy and not life experience. Likes: Reading, Meditation, Spreading Buddhism, Helping others. Dislikes: Those prone to violence, greed, and those who disrespect his choice of religion, Buddhism. Strengths: Strong heavy blows, long reach with use of the spear and longsword. Weaknesses: At extremely close ranges, he is at a disadvantage. His spear is useless, and his nodachi is close to uselessness at close range, as it is heavy and difficult to move the nodachi quickly. He also has very light armor, which would not last very long in a battle. Yorimasa is also very gullible- He puts too much faith in the “kind” souls. Claim to be doing some good and he will willingly help you. Biography: At a young age, Yorimasa was given up by his birth parents to the monks of the local temple. And, as such, he was taught the ways of Buddhism. However, due to how even monks were targeted in times of war, they taught him how to use a blade and spear as well. Times were becoming more dangerous and the monks could not simply die due to their past ways of pacifists, so teaching these important combat skills was key to survival, and the monks made combat into an art form. And as they were under the protection of the Adachi clan, They had to expect to be drafted at anytime- The shogun had seen Warrior Monks in battle, and the shogun decided to use them as shock troops due to their combat prowess. Fortunately, that time never came for Yorimasa. When he was eighteen, Seeing that he was never drafted for the shogun’s army, the elders of the temple decided that Yorimasa would become a pilgrim- He would travel from town to town professing the Buddhist way. And so he left his humble beginnings, and has been living off food and shelter given to him by willing civilians. He has been traveling around for 5 years, preaching the Buddhist way. During his travels, he has stopped in Edo, and has decided to spread his faith here as well, and has found an old derelict building that has become his humble abode. Password:Sengoku
