It was just a dumb movie about a relavant topic. I didn't even think about the actors, I just had to time to kill and it seemed more interesting than alternatives. That said, I also regret watching it. Because it was shitty. I'm sure 14 out of those 15 million had the same kind of thought I had, or actually liked Seth Rogen And Co. You're definitely overestimating the general public's movie taste. But the whole thing about that movie was how topical it was. Its entire purpose was to be a funny kind of "controversial", because it was made when North Korea was at its peak "popularity". It coasted on its controversiality because that was literally its only intention.
