Six months ago
In the kingdom of the Unseelie court a festivity was on it's way to its crescendo as food and beverage were passed around and dancing was on the to do list. a few humans here and there could be spotted among the crowd. Mostly among the female faerie and some of the males as well but not as many. It was somewhere in between the toast to Queen Morgainne that a wolf among th sheep launched an attack against her. Sadly for him, he was swiftly snuffed by the whisk of a onyx coloured blade. She sat there for only a brief moment before her eyes became like the abyss and stood. "If the Seelie court wishes for war then that is what they shall get!" Swiftly the Unseelioe court assembled their troops and made for the Seelie territory. The Seelie had set up their defenses once they sent the assassin on his suicidal missions. What awaited the Unseelie were not just the Light Faerie but the wood elves of the Seaway Woods, the IronHill Dwarves and a multitude of other races who aligned themselves with the Seelie court but the Unseelie never go anywhere or attempt battle without their own backup plans. Among their ranks were the Bloodbourne Orcs of Blackwood forest, the goblins of Den's Canyon and few others ruthless characters. Fighting had gone on for months until the Seelie pulled out their trump card, turning the tide of war to their favor. News of this was passed onto the Queen and her advisors. There was much discussion on what should be done until a lone servant spoke his mind. "Your Highness, if I may speak freely. I heard of a group. A powerful group. You might have as well. The ones that over took Ravenswood and Dragon's Keep." A field marshal eyes widened before slamming his fist on the table. "ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND!? THE CHILDREN OF TIAMAT CANNOT BE TRUSTED! THOSE WYRMS WILL WANT NOTHING BUT-" The commander was quickly silenced by the Commander of the Unseelie forces. His voice was smooth, cold and calculated but had such confidence behind it it made the younger commander yield. "Say boy, do you know where we would be able to find this Children of Tiamat? The young boy flinched after being point on the spot. They're through the feyline southwest of here near Phantom Pass then just follow the path to Dragon's Reach...You'll find them there....But....But be careful. The young lord is right. They cannot truly be trusted. Cynbel raised his head and walkd towards the boy, patted his head. "I'll be the judge of that. Horis-" He looked over to the young commander. "Assemble your finest men...We make our way to Dragon's Reach." "And they shall come forth. The scaled demons of the elements who shall consume the realm for their own greed. Dromoka, wyrm of the earth, shall thrust his claws into the ground and open a hole to hell. Paraxthyon, the wyrm of water, shall flood the seven kingdoms, drowning those who live upon it and shall be assisted by Theais who will create great typhoons ever known. Kholgan, wyrm of lightning shall create storms that will turn day into night. Sulleykaar, the wyrm of fire, shall scorch the Earth and those in his way shall fall to ashes. And finally, those who die await an ancient dragon known only as...Ugin, the wyrm of the afterlife. He will consume the spirits of the dead and plunge them into eternal damnation." - Jundai the Wise, High Elf and advisor to King Ashborn of Ravenswood
Of Scales and Stone
Inside the Great Den they laid. Eight in total, their bodies covered by the shadows of the walls. The light pierced through the entrance of their lair in the form of a jagged point. A dragon of deep Emerald sniffed the air and opened a jade eye. "We have visitors." Dromoka had announced. Soon after his statement, six other pairs of eyes opened and glowed dimly to the entrance of their sanctuary. A single silhouette followed by many more approached the mouth of the cave. Paraxthyon glanced over at Dromoka and Kholgan. "Unseelie..." Informed Paraxthyon "The Unseelie come seeking assistance? From what Paraxthyon?" Questioned Dromoka. "They bring a companyyyy. Do they dare challenge ussss?" Kholgan seethed with a low rumble. "I wouldn't have a clue...Sulleykaar?" Theais glanced over at the ruby-colored dragon. He opened a single eye and looked over at Theais and snorted a puff of smoke before yawning widely and shaking his massive head. 'There was an assassination attempt on the Unseelie Queen and it failed horrifically to the point it was disgraceful. The Queen retaliated with a declaration of war and since then fighting has spread through the feylines. All those wonderful races picking sides whether they want to or not...It's pathetic. However, this could be beneficial to us. The one in the front I assume I Cynbel, Grand Field Marshal and General of the Unseelie forces. It must be serious if he has come all the way out here...' Instead of saying what he wanted aloud for the Unseelie to hear, he passed it on via his telepathy. One of the many things the magic wyrm could do. They laid patiently, awaiting the plea from the Unseelie court itself.
